The current life expectancy for Africa in 2022 is 63.82 years, a 0.46% increase from 2021. The life expectancy for Africa in 2021 was 63.53 years, a 0.46% increase from 2020. The life expectancy for Africa in 2020 was 63.24 years, a 0.46% increase from 2019. According to Statista, "for those born in 2021, the average life expectancy at birth across Africa was 63 years for males and 66 years for females. The average life expectancy globally was 71 years for males and 75 years for females in mid-2021".
Faced with this challenge in our great continent, TAFFD's, a member of the International Longevity Alliance, shall launch a longevity hub in South Africa known as Afrolongevity on the 16th of August 2022.
We need to end aging before it ends us with age-related diseases like atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease, cancer, arthritis, cataracts, osteoporosis, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, Alzheimer's disease, and Parkinson's diseases.
Most persons have been stigmatized and called names due to age-related diseases. We have also lost our beloved ones as a result of aging.
The idea is to cure/treat aging so people can have a healthy lifespan.
Join us in SA🇿🇦 as Dr. Aubrey de Grey, the renowned longevist, leads longevity scientists and enthusiasts, gerontologists, and molecular biologists across Africa and globally as we look into Afrolongevity and its project in the continent.
"This event is the launch for a terrific initiative by some highly talented and dedicated longevists, named Afrolongevity, to bring the longevity crusade to the African continent, and especially to educate Africans about it so they can help. I'm delighted to support it." - Dr. Aubrey de Grey, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter
